Their music is an assualt on the senses with hard-hiting bass beats mixed with funky electro sounds and suggestive lyrics. Hyper Crush is made up made up of (from L to R) rapper Donny Fontaine, DJ & keytarist Preston Moronie and vocalist Holly Valentine.
This Los Angeles based trio are currently doing what any serious band with dreams of making it big would; gigging and touring. Heavily. They have two mixtapes and a self-released album out and even though they are in the midst of working on their 2nd album with Universal Motown, they are under no illusions and are still working hard and staying humble.
This can be exemplified in the way the band regularly respond to their fans via their formspring.me and Twitter accounts. They even used some fans in making their latest music videos. This fan-friendliness ensures a loyal fanbase. All the hard work has already reaped minor rewards; the group opened for Lady Gaga on the European leg of her tour.
As their name suggests, the group's music is very upbeat & energetic and would not sound out of place in any popular club. With artistes like The Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga & 3OH!3 currently on the airwaves, there certainly seems to be a place for Hyper Crush on the radio.
If they continue working this hard, hearing a Hyper Crush song on your local radio station will be an inevitability.
